Don’t let this hot chick fool you – she can rock, remix, and bring it.
I stumbled on her site quite accidentally, while searching for some good new music for the gym – and found that she’s got a great layout. Free music on her site gets you hooked, and she tends to have a modern fresh lean to her music…
If you want an intro to what she can do – Here’s my favorite remix for the gym - HIT IT! If you don’t want to dance to this one, and sing loudly in your car…you have no soul. This should make David Guetta get in the backseat and let her drive for a while…
Here’s a video below of her live – playing the drums, singing and ripping it up:

Women are crazy…we all know that. Sometimes we love it, sometimes it’s a disaster, but Shyane DeJesus is the RIGHT kind of crazy. By reports, as she was looking to catch the subway in NYC to go to work, a guy on the platform started rubbing himself on her leg. Then, as the train was approaching, he lifted her skirt and groped her…and then sat down ‘like nothing happened.’
Shyane walked up to him and started beating him over the head, and took his picture with her cellphone camera….the best part of it? She reports being glad she beat him.
Go you.

If you haven’t heard of Marta Vieira da Silva, it’s because she’s like every other superstar in women’s sports…no one pays attention…but this woman is a legend. She’s known as the best in women’s soccer EVER to play the game, and has a story that makes you love her.
According to reports, she played with the boys as a child, despite taking physical beatings for it, her family wanting her to stop, and being so poor that she didn’t have proper shoes, she kept going – she loved the game. Now, she’s undisputedly the best.
While she still makes a fraction of what the male superstars make (her agent represents Ronaldo), she’s the best in her game. See her play for the New York Flash if you’re interested in watching a hero live….and watching that perfect smile. She wickedly competitive, but isn’t that just the coolest?
Here’s a little taste of what she can do:

You’d have to be a moron to believe that bullfighting is a “cool sport.” Even most Spaniards don’t want the cruel sport to continue. However, given our current culture, people don’t want to listen to “boring” education about the pain, maiming, and suffering these animals endure…but, apparently, they will pay attention to an attractive naked woman with a message.
Even thought this image was deemed ‘too graphic’ for some magazines, kudos to Elen Rivas for stripping for a great cause. Who doesn’t love a woman passionate about animals?

How Cool! According to the Daily Mail, Russian diver Natalia Avseenko, 36, stripped to help tame beluga whales. It seems the belugas (much like me) don’t like being touched by artificial material, and prefer human skin to wetsuits, so Natalia made the plunge totally naked…in the White Sea in Russia…in minus 1.5 centigrade water.
To give you a clue of how bitchin’ this lady is, the average human could die if left in sub-zero temperature sea water for just five minutes. However, Natalia spent ten minutes 40 seconds in the water with no obvious ill effects. A yoga practitioner, she used meditation techniques and was able to hold her breath for ten minutes underwater….and may I say, she has a bangin’ body to go with that danger streak. Love her.

Is there something more lesbian chic than a bunch of hot athletic chicks standing around half naked? Nike OWNS it with their new “Make Yourself” campaign that will be hitting mags soon, snaring the best (and hottest) chicks in sports right now.
Don’t know who they are and want to have a name to put with that fantasy? From left, Australian surfer Laura Enever, British runner Perri Shakes-Drayton, American soccer player Hope Solo, Li Na of China, Algerian dancer Sofia Boutella, Maria Sharapova and American runner Allyson Felix. Did they leave anyone out?
If you haven’t read the Millenium Trilogy (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, etc.) then I feel sorry for you. If you haven’t seen the original movies (swedish, but in English subtitles), then I really feel sorry for you.
Lisbeth Salander (played by Noomi Rapace), is the girl to get. She’s a kick-a$$ hacker, a bisexual hero, and a victimized woman who gets the most unique and vicious revenge you could imagine. She’s a package of awesome….and I wish she’d break my heart.

Now, I can hear it from here…you might initially scoff because the movie makes you read subtitles, and it’s in swedish…but my God is it worth it. I didn’t even WANT to read the first book because I thought it would be silly – but I was totally wrong.
Lisbeth is the kind of hero America never makes. She’s a loner, she’s awkward, she’s sometimes a victim, but she is a survivor. She’s gritty and poignant and beautiful in the ways you never expect. She’s got a tomboyish, muscular small frame, and she’s just amazing. Rugged and tender when it counts – Lisbeth will leave you begging for more. And lucky for you…there are three movies that make the series. Make a night of it and watch them all.
FYI, for some reason, America is “remaking” this series even though it was filmed in 2009…but let me tell you, this film will never include the graphic and often brutal, honest moments you’ll find in the original.

Yeah, she’s hot, and you hate Ellen everyday for her absolute luck in snagging her…but you’ll respect Portia far more after reading her story. Her book Unbearable Lightness was called “breathtakingly honest,” by some, and I’d have to say I agree. I wasn’t even going to read it because I assumed it would be one of those celebrity books that really sucked, but sold a few copies because their name is famous.
It isn’t like that at all.
She talks in the book like a friend after you’ve had a few glasses of wine and things get honest. Any woman will relate to her brutally honest self-critiques, and her descriptions of her struggles with anorexia are just mindblowingly descriptive and frank. She just gets dirty with her illness, and she puts it all out there – freeing, I would imagine, for her. Anybody who has ever had body issues will find her an unlikely champion.
She also talks about her real struggles with coming out, accepting she was into chicks (which we are all so happy she is), and how she came to terms with exactly who she is.
After reading the book, you’ll love her for it….and maybe like yourself a little more too.
