It seems that Etta James is a little miffed that Beyonce was asked (and agreed) to sing “At Last,” a song for the inauguration. Etta made that song famous, and they should have asked her to sing it if they wanted that particular song – at least, in her opinion. Personally, no one sings it like Etta James. If you ever want to woo your gf, put on some Etta and cook some food…
Anyway, Etta slammed Beyonce in some statements made to the New York Daily News that basically ripped Beyonce a new one:
“I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her ass whupped,” James told an audience at the Paramount Theatre, sarcastically calling her “The great Beyoncé.”
“I can’t stand Beyoncé,” she spit out on an audio clip posted on Allhiphop.com, adding that Beyoncé “had no business … singing my song that I been singing forever.”
It’s true. Just because you play her in a movie, doesn’t mean you ARE her, Beyonce. Show some respect….

I have to agree…Beyonce should have been singing one of her own songs. ‘At Last’ belongs to Etta, and always will.
