Times Online reported yesterday that Heinz pulled their British television ads for Mayonnaise, due to 200 complaints made to that it was “offensive.” The commercial ended with two men in a brief kiss.
Alan Simpson, a hero in the UK, stated on NPR yesterday that he wants the commercial reinstated. He said that it gives the wrong message to say that if the public disagrees with same-sex relationships that they will go away. Same-sex unions are legally recognized in the UK.
