AFA now has a problem with your furniture? Too gay.

by Jul on February 16, 2009 · 5 comments

According to Pinknews.uk, it seems that the American Family Association (AFA) now have complaints against our favorite furniture shop, IKEA. IKEA recently ran an ad (snapshot below), that shows a gay male couple playing on the floor with their young daughter. As they lean back against their IKEA sofa, a voiceover says: “Why shouldn’t sofas come in flavours, like families?”

I know…VERY scary, eh? The AFA reportedly said to OneNewsNow.com, “IKEA produces dozens of pro-homosexual ads that they air on Swedish TV. If they’re going to run ads in this country, at least make those ads reflect the values of our society…and that is that two men and a child do not make a family.”

Yes, this was a pro-homosexual ad. Gay and lesbian consumers have good taste, frequent their stores, buy their furniture and frequent their cafeterias.

Have you had the 50 cent hotdog?

I freakin’ love Ikea. My entire house is practically all Ikea. And like a true lesbian, I put everything together myself. :) But after finding out how pro-gay they are, I’m even happier to be a regular shopper of theirs.

I love Ikea and it pisses me off that an ANTI family organization like this calls themselves the American Family Association.

Live in New Zealand, so I’ve never seen this stuff before, but I just have to say: That’s a cute ad.
