I have to be honest with you. I’ve never liked Miley. I don’t know what the big deal is about her, and I think she’s a big phoney. This, however IS a big deal.
Tmz.com recently showed this above photo and reported that advocacy groups are stating:
“The photograph of Miley Cyrus and other individuals slanting their eyes currently circulating the Internet is offensive to the Asian Pacific American community and sets a terrible example for her many young fans. This image falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent…”
We couldn’t agree more. Message to Miley: Get a brain.

This is almost laughable. I mean, raging on and on about how supposedly “stupid” Asians are since they’re angry about this will not help. It’s normal to be upset about the racism portrayed here, but swearing at Miley will only make ourselves look melodramatic fools that are easily offended. Since many of us don’t take her seriously -and in my opinion, we shouldn’t- I don’t see why people are taking this insignificant picture as some sort of serious offense. Racism is something we’ll all have to face at some point in our lifetime, but the ones who ought to suffer the most are the racist people themselves.
