There are a million twists on Romeo and Juliet, but this one really got my attention. No, it isn’t just the two hot chicks….it’s an interesting story too (bonus!).
The Guerilla Theater in Wilmington, NC is presenting Romeo and Juliet in a modern day setting, with the Montagues being Democrats and the Capulets being Republicans. According to the StarNewsOnline.com, the theater’s founder and the director of the play set it as a lesbian romance as a direct response to Prop 8 in California…because, he says, the theme of Romeo & Juliet is “forbidden love,” and today…this same-sex relationship is a good representation of what is considered forbidden in many areas of the country.
I’m a-okay with thoughtful commentary presented through attractive naked women rolling around in the sheets. In fact, if protests were done like this, they might just get more attention.

To be honest, I don’t know how useful this will be or how long I’ll do it…but for now, I’ve hooked up to Twitter. I was told to “just record what’s going on with your life…” Oh…dangerous instructions indeed.

If you are looking for something totally unique and your gf understands that you’re an uber-nerd, then this gift is for you. It’s a waveform bracelet. You go to The Sound Advice Project and although initially created to make a message to keep kids off drugs, you can record any message you want and they will make a bracelet out of the waves. Cool, eh? I was thinking of making one that says “take your clothes off.”

From the AFA (American Family Association) website, I just learned more reasons I should buy Pepsi. According to them:
“Pepsi has made no effort to hide their support for the homosexual agenda:
- Pepsi gave a total of $1,000,000 to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) to promote the homosexual lifestyle in the workplace.
- Both HRC and PFLAG supported efforts in California to defeat Proposition 8 which defined marriage as being between a man and a woman. HRC, which received $500,000 from Pepsi, gave $2.3 million to defeat Proposition 8.
- Pepsi forces employees to attend sexual orientation and gender diversity training where the employees are taught to accept homosexuality.
- Pepsi is a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce”
Who knew that Pepsi did such great things? To be honest, I never drink soda…so I’m off to one hell of a start. Right now, I’m sluggin’ a Pepsi with breakfast…soon, I’ll be eating Pepsi muffins (hey, not those kind of muffins), and I fully intend to try to make Pepsi-marinated chicken for dinner. Yeah, it’s a lot of sugar, and I’ll likely be dead by 35 at this rate…but I’ll be smiling, and my skin will have an odd purplish-grey-brown bubbly hue. Go PEPSI!!

Movies can get a little monotonous, but according to the Daily Mail, one central London location turned a swimming pool into a theater for a special screening of the Titanic. Customers were given boats to float in on fake icy waters (notice the awesome ice rocks).
I thought this was so cool. I want to make out with my girlfriend in a boat…the last boat ride we went on, I flipped her breast with an oar…so I’m looking to make that horrible (note: AWESOME for me) experience up to her.
