This is a great, um, almost-meeting-the-parents-moment. Cheers to Toyota for even putting out this commercial (in Canada), God knows that America would never run it…you know, because it shows us as being “normal.”
I like the way that, if you changed the girl in the car to a guy without changing anything else about the ad, it would’ve worked in exactly the same way. Can’t portray us as being more normal than that.
SWEET! I’m from and live in Canada but haven’t seen this ad (then again, I don’t watch much TV) but hope to! I’ll be cheering when it airs! Yay, Toyota, for going there!
Oh, I love this commercial- they had two of these. One was girl/girl and another was girl/guy. They both started out exactly the same. I saw the ladies one a few times and would always wait for the ending. lol I’m not sure what happened but I found that they played the girl/guy one more often. Who cares! Yay Toyota!
See Ford Motor Company, GM & Chrysler et al… attracting Lesbians and Gays = Company in the Black. Ignoring the gays… well, you know how that turns out now, don’t you? (With your $2/share stock).
