Whoopi Goldberg is either really an idiot, or really trying to cover her own butt. Let me explain. In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Whoopi Goldberg denies that Mel Gibson is a racist or a bad guy…here’s what she said recently on The View :
“I know Mel, and I know he’s not a racist,” Goldberg said. “He may be a bonehead … I can’t sit and say that he’s a racist, having spent time with him in my house with my kids.”
Let’s see…there was that whole thing with the Jewish people where he said this according to TMZ: “F*****g Jews… The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.” Gibson then asked the deputy, “Are you a Jew?” Then there are his statements about Hispanic people where he said this according to Dimewars: “I will fire (name omitted) if she’s at your house. I will make it known and fire her. I’ll report her to the f***ing people that take f***ing money from the wetbacks, OK?” And to top it all off are his recent comments about African-Americans where he said this to his girlfriend, according to RadarOnline: “You look like a f***ing bitch in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault.”
Why would Whoopi lie like this? My theory? We protect when we want to be protected. What do you have to hide Whoopi? Possibly Gay?

Hide that she’s gay? Come on… everybody already KNOWS she’s gay… thats the least kept secret from hollywood to NY~
Whoopi has a screw loose in there somewhere, or she’s reciting lines to please certain people in power. I thought she needed a swift kick to the head to knock the screw back into place, when she defended Roman Polanski of all people stating that the rape occurred wasn’t rape rape. Like WHAT?! And this Mel Gibson shit? Something is definitely going on with her. *shakes head*
Liked her a lot better about 20 years ago when she was funny/smart. once she came to the view and i saw the real her, i must say that her bossy, know it all personality screams ignorance and insecurity. her defense of mel is revealing too. i didnt know the view could get lower than memyselfI star jones and crazy rosie but they have sunk even lower with whoopi.
